Noah's ark day

Every year at Foundation we like to celebrate Noah's ark by dressing up in animal costumes and going on an adventure at Noah's ark.

PJ's camping day

Even though the weather outside might not be ideal for camping, nothing stops us from having a relaxing day, hanging by the "fire", eating some pancakes, and drinking hot chocolate. And to make matters even better all that happens while we're wearing our PJs.

Chanukah party

Of all Jewish events, our Chanukah holiday celebrations are probably one of the most special because parents and children get together to celebrate the miracle with lots of music, delicious latkes, sufganiyot, cookies, lots of activities.

Frozen and superheroes day

We embrace Montreal's winter and snow on this special day where the kids get to experience a winter magical land whilst dressed as characters from the Disney movie Frozen or superheroes.

Beach day

Even though we love to celebrate every season at Foundation, we also like to have a little break from the cold and have a special day at the beach! Sunglasses, bathing suits, pools, sand, ice cream, treasure hunt, or submerging on a yellow submarine, we've got it all on this very special day.

Hamantaschen workshop

While the kids are learning about and getting ready for Purim, we hold a Hamantaschen workshop with the help of some of our wonderful parents. Different kinds of fillings and toppings make this workshop even more interesting to the kids.

Purim

Purim is a joyous Jewish festival commemorating the survival of the Jews, a holiday celebrated by parents and children getting dressed in their costumes for a celebratory party with music, food, and lots of fun activities.

Matzah baking workshop

With the help of some of our amazing parents, our kids get to make and eat their own matzah. It brings to reality a little of what they have been learning in class about Passover.

Passover

Every year at Foundation we like to celebrate Noah's ark by dressing up in animal costumes and going on an adventure at Noah's ark.

Israeli street fest

Everyone gets together in this special day to come celebrate Israel's birthday. Parents and children came to take a special flight from Montreal to Tel Aviv, where the day starts exploring the land of Israel. The dead sea, the kibbutz, and Jerusalem are a few of the places you can visit on this very special day. To complete the activities falafel and ice cream!

Shavuot

Flowers, good weather, Shavuot is a special day where we celebrate the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. We do this by baking special cheesecakes, eating ice cream, and making flower crowns and flower decorations.

Weekly Shabbat celebration

Every Friday we celebrate Shabbat together. We go to the beautiful sanctuary and sing Shabbat songs with Rabba Rachel, our Jewish mentor. They get to see the Torah scrolls, and most importantly, they gain comfort and familiarity with our sacred space. After that, we have a special snack that includes challah of course.

Fundraising/ Volunteering

With the help of our incredibly kind parents, the children do a big Mitzvah by working hard in different projects to help raise money for different organizations like a Bake sale for Animal shelters, having a book sale to raise money for our school, organizing donations of clothes and other necessities for Auberge Shalom, Shabbat boxes for the elderly or even packing yummy salads in little containers for Mada.

Mini farm

Parents are constantly involved in the kids school life. We vary often have parents that want to sponsor events for the school to celebrate their child's birthday, the kids graduation or even one of the Holidays. One of these events involved bringing the farm to the kids. Children from Zayit to Tamar got to pet and feed animals from the farm.

Summer camp

Our school year finishes at the end of June but we are still able to offer 8 weeks of Summer camp with 8 different themes where kids experience the best summer has to offer.
